HOW DOES LASER HAIR REMOVAL WORK?
Laser hair removal is a technique that uses beams of highly concentrated light to penetrate the hair follicles. The light is absorbed by pigment in the hair follicles and destroys the hair within the follicle.

- PRECISION: Unlike shaving or waxing, laser hair removal targets coarse, dark hair and leaves the surrounding skin untouched. Although there might be some sensitivity in the area, only the hair follicle is affected by the laser. Shaving creates razor burn and leaves unsightly red bumps. It can also cause ingrown hairs, not something you want in your arm pit or bikini area. Waxing leaves the skin red, irritated and sensitive.
- SPEED: The laser used can treat many hairs in a fraction of a second with each pulse. Each second the laser can target an area of skin that is roughly the size of a quarter. In some cases, small areas, like the upper lip, can be treated in just a few minutes. Larger areas, like the back, may take around an hour to treat.
- COMFORT: After just four to six treatments, most clients see permanent hair removal. Although touch ups may be required over the following years, laser hair removal allows for a comfort of mind, knowing that unwanted hair is no longer an issue.
